First commercial Seawater Greenhouse, in Australia
I am very pleased to see that the first commercial Seawater Greenhouse implementation has been announced for Australia. This will be a joint venture with private investors, Seawater Greenhouse established Seawater Greenhouse (Australia) Pty Ltd, which will finance, develop and operate the first commercial scale Seawater Greenhouse operation near Port Augusta, South Australia. Seawater Greenhouse wins Middle East innovations award
The Seawater Greenhouse won the Power Generation and Water Solutions Middle East, Innovation of the Year Award in October 2009. Seawater Greenhouse, received the award for their unique concept, successfully implemented in real applications, which combines natural processes and solar energy to provide water for food production in arid, coastal regions, and which was judged to be an excellent solution for the specific needs of the Middle East.
